Mentor to Grubmaster  

Incumbent:  (same as Patrol Advisors)

  • coach patrol Grubmasters for specific events to plan and execute appropriate meals for the patrol, taking into account healthy eating guidelines, safe food handling, weather, group size and age, and budget constraints
  • assist Scouts in identifying opportunities to complete rank requirements related to camp cooking
  • coach younger Scouts to plan simple and manageable menus, while older Scouts challenge themselves with more advanced plans and techniques
  • work with Scouts to apply the Grubmaster Budget process before, during, and after the outing
