- serve as mentor to the troop Historian

meet with the Historian to set appropriate goals for his term,
consistent with his job description and the troop goals
- encourage the Historian to maintain files and protect
irreplaceable memorabilia of the troop
- ensure that items used by this youth position are handed off
from the outgoing Historian to the incoming one --- CDs/DVDs,
journals, scrapbooks, ribbons, trophies, mementos
