Description: |
Appointed by the Senior Patrol Leader in the second-highest youth
leadership position in the troop. Manages an assigned group of troop
youth leaders, and fills in for the SPL in case of his absence. |

Duties: |
Assist the Senior Patrol Leader in making sure troop
meetings and functions run smoothly. |
Lead the troop in the absence of the Senior Patrol Leader. |
Help train and supervise the assigned youth leaders (e.g.,
Quartermaster, Historian, Librarian, etc.). Provide feedback
and guidance on their performance. |
Assist with running the annual planning meeting. |
Assist the Scoutmaster with youth leader training. |
Promote Scout Spirit in the troop, and exemplify the highest
personal standard of Scouting. |

Star rank or higher, unless
special approval is given by the Scoutmaster |
