Color Guard Commander

Description: Appointed by the Senior Patrol Leader to train and direct the Color Guard to properly maintain, display, and parade the flags of the nation and troop for unit events and for outside events as requested.
Reports To: Senior Patrol Leader or an Assistant Senior Patrol Leader
Duties:
Recruit members for the Color Guard, and instill in them an understanding and respect for the flag.
Lead training for the Color Guard in how to properly maintain the flags, and how to display and parade them for various events.
Learn and use proper Color Guard commands.
Keep flags, poles, stands, harnesses, and Color Guard uniform items in good and neat condition and available as needed.
Assemble, instruct, and lead a Color Guard team for each troop function.
Assemble, instruct, and lead a Color Guard team for outside events as requested and agreed.
Eligibility: First Class rank or higher, unless special approval is given by the Scoutmaster
