Service
Service is an important element of the Scouting program and a key part of our culture in Troop 202. It helps to teach and demonstrate the Scouting aims of Citizenship and Character. Scouts should cheerfully take on opportunities to serve, and will soon discover that helping others is rewarding in itself, not just because it helps to check off an advancement requirement.
A valid service project is one that benefits others in a charitable way wihtout any direct benefit (financial or otherwise) to the Scout. A chore or obligation the Scout should do anyway is not considered service.
Service hours may be reported online or by using the downloadable form below. A Scout can use the Service Hours Tracker to make notes of which service hours were applied to which rank or merit badge requirements.
